Our Cushe ambassador, Mylene Paquette, finally left on July 6th at 8h30 am from Halifax to row the North Atlantic ocean, solo, West to East!! Her goal is to row until Lorient in France. She will take at least 100 days to make it. You can follow Mylene all summer on her website at www.mylenepaquette.com
We are very proud of her. Cushe was in Nova Scotia to assist at her departure. Here are a few images of the final preparation before she left.
Equipment and ocean boat preparation:
Alex St-Pierre from Cushe, happy to see the logo on the boat :)
A new hair cut before leaving. Thanks to Hair Factory for the nice hair cut!
Many interviews for the last day (CBC, Radio-Canada, Global News, etc)
Here is a Ipad-Skype interview with Salut Bonjour (Halifax-Montreal)
Even Karine Trudel from the marketing Cushe team got an interview with Global News ;)
Cushe got a chance to jump in the boat with Mylene for a few minutes just before she left:
Mylène smiling and happy that the project has finally come true!
And now, THE real departure time!
A final word (nostalgic but happy at the same time) with all the media before rowing her boat:
The last goodbye with her team, family and friends...
Here is the departure!
Kayaks, sailboats, zodiacs, oars ... everyone was there to follow her departure:
she's now getting closer to the open sea:
Open sea is getting closer, a windbreaker is now necessary and Mylène is ready to row the Atlantic
Enjoy your trip dear ambassador! Cushe wishes you good luck! See you in France!
Thanks to Karine Trudel (Cushe team) and Paul Picard (photograph) for the pictures.
